Q: How long does it take to get set up?
A: Setting up PatientBase is quick and easy. The amount of time required will vary depending on whether you will be importing an existing patient database into PatientBase or starting from scratch. Importing an existing database is fairly straightforward and a handy wizard will walk you through the process.

Q: Do I have to join the cloud?
A: No, you can choose to use a local version of PatientBase on your fitting computer without ever joining the cloud. If you change your mind at any point in the future you can join the cloud whenever you like.

Q: Is my data secure?
A: Yes. Starkey Hearing Technologies takes every precaution to ensure that your patient data is secure. Access to your data is available only through your unique username and password. Patient data is stored on your hard drive in an encrypted format. If you join the cloud, data is encrypted as it travels over the internet as a further precaution.

Q: What happens if I forget my Administration password?
A: Call Customer Service. We can help you recover your password.

Q: Can I still use ProHear Launcher once I've installed PatientBase?
A: Yes, installing PatientBase has no effect on your ProHear Launcher or its data. Of course, we hope that you will like PatientBase so much that you won’t want to use your ProHear Launcher anymore. Also, know that once data has been imported from your ProHear database into PatientBase, and data entered in ProHear will not be transferred.
